Carrier Reference

SimCoal routes SMS through each carrier's email-to-SMS gateway. Use the carrier code in the carrier field when sending messages. The carrier parameter is required on the free tier and optional on paid plans, which handle routing automatically.

The AT&T gateway (att) is currently non-functional — AT&T has restricted inbound email-to-SMS delivery. Paid plans route AT&T numbers through alternative premium providers automatically. Free tier users with AT&T recipients should contact support for options.

On paid plans, the carrier parameter is optional. When omitted, SimCoal attempts automatic carrier detection. For best deliverability, supplying the correct carrier is always recommended.
